TRIP ADVISOR AUGUST 2016:
TRIP ADVISOR JUNE 2016:
Longere Louise exactly as depicted in the advertising and is as charming and atmospheric as described. It has a real homely atmosphere and is well maintained and kitted out!
It is in a very quiet part of the countryside and the local villages are sleepy places - so it's a perfect place to get away from it all.
If you (like us) love to relax with a good book in the garden and to enjoy a barbecue as the sun goes down then this is the place for you.
TRIP ADVISOR AUGUST 2015:
We chose this property due to its proximity to La Brenne National Park. The service from the owner was exemplary: all our questions were answered and the directions to the property were detailed and accurate. On arrival we were delighted by the property. There is ample parking for several vehicles and the approach to the cottage is welcoming. We loved the spacious kitchen and comfy sitting room, although it was too hot to use either of the two wood burning stoves.
The upstairs of the cottage is charming. One large bedroom oozing traditional French country charm, one smaller double with west-facing aspect and a delightful day room in the middle. The garden is huge with lots to explore. We enjoyed lunch on the south-facing terrace and our evening meal on the west-facing terrace. The nearest village with amenities (Liglet) was only a short distance away.
We spent much time exploring La Brenne, as we are keen nature lovers. But we also made time to visit the wonderful Abbey of St. Savin, also very nearby. Trips to Montmorillon and Chauvigny gave us a real flavour of the area and were well worth the short journey. All in all, a wonderful holiday in a charming cottage and we would love to do it all over again.
TRIP ADVISOR AUGUST 2015:
We had a very relaxing stay for the nearly two weeks we were there. The location was perfect and the large garden was super for the children.
The house is clearly well taken care of, and arranging with Louise (the owner), was easy and enjoyable.
There are lots of extremely pretty villages close by, and even driving over to the coast is a very doable day trip. Our parents live close by in the Charante, and this too was an easy trip.
TRIP ADVISOR AUGUST 2014:
We stayed at Longere Louise for one week and the only sad part was that it wasn't longer.
The cottage is stunningly beautiful and renovated to a very high standard. Everything that you could possibly need is here.
The gardens are private and totally relaxing.
The owner is extremely helpful and went out of her way to make sure our stay was a good one.
We can't recommend the cottage high enough and will definitely be returning next year.

TRIP ADVISOR AUGUST 2013:
We have stayed at Longere Louise for our last two annual family summer holidays. It is beautifully presented with a super family size kitchen and a delightful garden for the children to play and explore in.
Great location for visiting interesting towns and villages, our favourite being Angles-sur-l'Anglin which is stunning with a fantastic river park area.

TRIP ADVISOR OCTOBER 2012:
If you are looking for an oasis of rustic french charm in the depth of the peaceful, quiet and very rural french countryside then this is the destination for you.
Home comforts abound, comfortable beds supplied, kitchen fully equipped. All you need is your food and drink.
TRIP ADVISOR SEPTEMBER 2012:
Fantastic virtual support when we needed it from our booking experience & throughout our stay at Longere Louise. My husband and I are very keen cyclists and the detailed additional support Louise provided in local awareness, contacts & tourist information was unbelievable. The English caretakers who are on hand to help if you require during your stay, provided a lovely welcome treat for us..
The cottage is in a very quiet hamlet with only a few neighbours however not over looked, we were surrounded by fields, farming activity with it being harvesting time - A fantastic very large, well equipped farmhouse kitchen with a cosy lounge for relaxed evenings (with english TV channels).
Upstairs was just a dream, 2 large romantic bedrooms extremely comfortable beds and bedding along with the large downstairs bathroom (with bath) were a must after our days in the saddle. Outside there is a huge flat garden with furniture to relax and take in the late afternoon sun however for us the real retreat was the haven just outside the front door, to sit with all day sun or gain shade from the many plants - breakfast, reading or planning next days cycling just made our holiday, always with IGOR support.
The property is also by an old railway line (Now grass) to Trimouille, great for a return walk with lunch or my husbands morning run, the whole area is beautiful and we visited many historic roman sites, markets and gained some fantastic photos to aid our memories.
TRIP ADVISOR AUGUST 2012:
First of all the owner Louise is extremely helpful and organised and will help you with all aspects of your stay at Longere Louise. There are English caretakers on hand to help if you have any problems during your stay.
The house itself is in a quiet hamlet with only a few neighbours. You are surrounded by fields of corn and sunflowers. Idyllic! There is a very large , light-filled, well equipped dining kitchen and a large family bathroom. The cosy lounge has leather sofas and English TV channels. There is also an Xbox with millions of games (ALL tried out by our excited boys!) Upstairs the owner has excelled herself with 2 large and beautifully romantic bedrooms adorned with wonderful furniture and bedding. Outside there is a huge flat garden ideal for ball games and equipped with wooden garden furniture and loungers.
The area around the property is beautiful and we visited many sites including the stunning Abbey at Saint Savin, Les Geants des Ciel at Chauvigny and within a hour , the thrills of Futuroscope.
We loved our stay here and would recommend it highly - an authentic and luxurious taste of French life!"
